My most recent pieces of artwork are inspired by my love for the Cornish and Devonshire coast and their scenic beauty. I travel around Devon and Cornwall gathering inspiration by taking photos, visiting galleries and art and craft fairs, speaking to fellow artists for future paintings and hand woven tapestries.
I work in various mediums including watercolour, oils, acrylics and textiles. I have recently produced some new hand woven tapestries based on the beautiful Cornish Coast.
Another place that inspires me is the beautiful island of Lanzarote. I have been visiting the island for over 30 years. Recently I have built up a portfolio of work, most of which has sold however prints are available. I will also be producing more paintings in the near future.
After graduating from Middlesex University, where I achieved a BA Hons Degree in Constructed Textiles, I embarked on a career within the Textile industry.
My career path changed and unfortunately lead me away from the arts. Working full time and bringing up three children left me little time to indulge in my passion for producing art work.
Now that two of my children have grown up and flown the nest, I am in the position to rekindle my creative abilities.
Working from my studio at home, I am aspiring to build a collection of art work with the aim of developing a following and potentially selling my work.
Moving forward from my initial collection, I will be looking to find further inspiration within my other areas of interest.
